Job description
Overview
At Lidl Ireland, our mission spans from our headquarters to the shop floor to deliver a superior shopping experience to every customer. If you're enthusiastic, customer-focused, energetic, and eager to learn daily, you could earn €460+ weekly as a Customer Assistant on a standard 30-hour contract at our Tramore location.
Work Schedule
You'll experience a variety of shifts and responsibilities, adapting to a dynamic work environment. Shift options include:
- Morning Shift: Beginning at 5am or 6am, prepare the store by stocking shelves and readying bakery items before opening.
- Middle Shift: Starting late morning or early afternoon, ensure the store is immaculate, products are fresh, assist customers, and manage checkout queues.
- Late Shift: From the afternoon onward, deliver excellent service at tills, replenish stock, and prepare the store for the next day.
Key Duties
- Engage with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
- Adhere to loss prevention procedures throughout the store.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards inside and outside the store.
- Implement product freshness and rotation guidelines.
- Manage waste disposal correctly.
- Participate in stock counting processes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a proactive mindset and strong customer service aptitude.
- Willing to exceed expectations for customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate responsibility and reliability.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, diverse setting.
- Be an effective team collaborator.
- Previous customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential if accompanied by the right attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years old due to alcohol sales responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
Our transparent wage structure ensures fair pay across all roles:
- Starting hourly rate of €15.40, increasing up to €17.90 by the fourth year.

Salary Structure by Year
Year 1: Basic €15.40/hr, €19.25/hr unsocial hours, €23.10/hr overtime/Sundays, €30.80/hr bank holidays.
Year 2: Basic €16.20/hr, €20.25/hr unsocial hours, €24.30/hr overtime/Sundays, €32.40/hr bank holidays.
Year 3: Basic €16.90/hr, €21.13/hr unsocial hours, €25.35/hr overtime/Sundays, €33.80/hr bank holidays.
Year 4: Basic €17.90/hr, €22.38/hr unsocial hours, €26.85/hr overtime/Sundays, €35.80/hr bank holidays.
