Overview
At Sainsbury's stores, which have been integral parts of their communities for over 150 years, the Customer Assistant role during night shifts plays a vital part in ensuring smooth store operation. You will contribute your energy and teamwork skills to prepare the store for the coming day and support customer needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the store for the day by replenishing shelves efficiently throughout the night, handling a variety of product types.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area and store aisles to ensure an appealing environment for customers.
- Safely transport stock from the warehouse to the shop floor, including handling heavy containers and equipment.
- Work across different store areas, including chilled and frozen sections as required.
- Utilize equipment, digital devices, and handsets accurately and safely to complete assigned tasks.
- Provide support in other store functions such as online order picking or checkout services once trained and confident.
