Job Summary

Join Lidl Ireland as a Customer Assistant in Drumconrath, County Meath, delivering an outstanding shopping experience every day. This full-time role involves working a standard 30-hour contract with shifts across mornings, middays, and evenings, engaging in various tasks alongside different team members.

Typical Day-to-Day Activities

  • Early shifts begin at 5 or 6 am to prepare and stock shelves, including bakery items, ready for opening.
  • Midday shifts focus on maintaining store cleanliness, product freshness, and helping customers at tills and shop floor.
  • Late shifts prioritize excellent customer service at tills, restocking, and preparing the store for the following day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, helpful interaction with customers.
  • Adhere to stock loss prevention measures.
  • Maintain high standards of store and external hygiene.
  • Follow product freshness and rotation guidelines.
  • Manage waste disposal appropriately.
  • Support the stock counting process when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older due to alcohol sales.
  • Possess a positive, proactive attitude and strong customer service skills.
  • Reliable and responsible with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail setting.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred but not essential if attitude is right.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay structure is transparent and competitive, ensuring equity across roles:

  • Starting hourly wage of €15.40, progressing to €17.90 after three years.

  • Year 1: Basic €15.40; Unsocial hours €19.25; Overtime/Sundays €23.10; Bank holidays €30.80
  • Year 2: Basic €16.20; Unsocial hours €20.25; Overtime/Sundays €24.30; Bank holidays €32.40
  • Year 3: Basic €16.90; Unsocial hours €21.13; Overtime/Sundays €25.35; Bank holidays €33.80
  • Year 4: Basic €17.90; Unsocial hours €22.38; Overtime/Sundays €26.85; Bank holidays €35.80
