Job description
Overview
The Custodian plays a key role in ensuring cleanliness and sanitation throughout company premises according to corporate hygiene standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean the terminal using hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to achieve standards set by the company
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles in offices, restrooms, and break-rooms daily, disposing of all refuse appropriately
- Maintain adequate stock levels of necessary restroom supplies
- Rearrange, move, or adjust office furniture as required
- Monitor and ensure effective operation of pest control systems to uphold high cleanliness and housekeeping levels
- Remove snow and ice from pedestrian pathways and parking areas
- Keep the company grounds free from litter and debris
- Complete company-mandated reports relating to labor and equipment
- Maintain logs detailing repair history by equipment type
- Generate accurate records and reports as mandated by the company
- Report any safety hazards or problems to the shift supervisor promptly
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and MSDS safety and health standards
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Effective communication abilities for reporting and coordination
- Previous experience in custodial or related roles is required
