Custodian

Overview

The Custodian role involves upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards within and surrounding company premises as defined by company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Sanitize the terminal using tools such as hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to align with company cleanliness benchmarks
• Daily removal of rubbish from offices, restrooms, and break areas; ensure waste containers are emptied and cleaned
• Keep restrooms adequately stocked with necessary supplies
• Move, relocate, and adjust office furnishings as necessary
• Maintain effective pest control measures ensuring high sanitation and housekeeping standards
• Clear snow and ice from pedestrian pathways and parking areas
• Maintain grounds to be free from litter and debris
• Complete company-required labor and equipment reports accurately
• Keep a maintenance log detailing the repair history categorized by equipment type
• Prepare detailed and accurate records and reports as requested
• Report any safety issues promptly to the shift supervisor
• Follow OSHA and MSDS safety regulations
• Execute any additional tasks designated by the Operations Manager

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication abilities
• Relevant prior experience in custodial or similar roles is necessary
