Job description
Overview
The Cycle Counter role involves regularly performing inventory counts efficiently while remaining on foot. This position requires investigating all accessible data to address inconsistencies and strictly following established inventory control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records
- Analyze and investigate discrepancies between counted and recorded inventory
- Report cycle count results to inventory management personnel
- Follow cycle counting procedures and guidelines precisely
- Maintain accurate inventory count documentation and data files
- Trace and determine the root causes of inventory discrepancies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in a comparable role
- Proficient in forklift operation
- Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent analytical and mathematical proficiency
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Capable of working independently without supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
- Compliance with company policies and safety procedures required
- Physical ability to lift or pull weight up to 50 pounds freely
- Willingness to perform duties as directed by management
- Availability to work flexible and extended hours including weekends and possibly holidays as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged continuous durations
