Role Overview

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility. This includes cleaning buildings, removing debris, vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, and managing trash receptacles effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in office spaces, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and other common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and ensure collection from various warehouse areas like charging stations, coolers, repack rooms, and other refrigerated spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness near building entrances by picking up cigarette butts and trash around main doors.
• Disinfect and clean all restrooms using approved chemicals such as bleach and Fabuloso.
• Clean appliances and surfaces including microwaves, refrigerators, countertops, and lockers using designated cleaning solutions.
• Prepare cleaning mixtures following Sanitation Supervisor’s approval.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaning tools and solutions.
• Dust and wipe down furniture and work surfaces in office and warehouse settings.
• Operate floor machinery like floor scrubbers in warehouse areas.
• Manage restocking of soap and hand towels in bathrooms, lobbies, and hallways.
• Conduct pressure cleaning of warehouse and front building exteriors.
• Relocate heavy equipment and furniture according to operational needs.
• Perform daily cleaning of garbage bins in both office and warehouse zones.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures within warehouse environments.
• Be prepared to stand for extended periods and work in confined or temperature-controlled spaces ranging between 33°F and 80°F.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, kneeling, standing, squatting, bending, overhead reaching, and lifting heavy objects up to or exceeding 100 pounds.
