Job description

Position Summary

Memorial University's Marine Institute is seeking candidates for two custodial roles: one full-time contractual position and one on-call position, both extending until December 31, 2026. These roles involve janitorial and minor maintenance tasks to support the upkeep of the Fisheries and Marine Institute facilities.

Key Duties

  • Perform various cleaning tasks using appropriate products and techniques.
  • Maintain and care for building areas and related equipment.
  • Carry out additional duties related to custodial and minor maintenance work as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in commercial custodial work is required.
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent training and experience combination will be considered.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license is mandatory.

Salary

The yearly salary range for this role is $46,529.60 to $54,579.20, aligned with NAPE Local 7850 standards.
