Job Purpose

The role centers on preparing, coordinating, and ensuring readiness for mechanical maintenance and replacements related to corrosion under insulation (CSCC) programs on offshore platforms. Key responsibilities include valve replacements, piping system changes, static equipment maintenance, flange and mechanical integrity management, and enabling safe offshore mechanical work execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive mechanical work packages including valve replacements, piping spool swaps, repairs, static equipment upkeep, pressure vessel operations, and brownfield modifications for offshore tasks.
• Analyze engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, datasheets, vendor details, and maintenance instructions to confirm technical completeness and accuracy of work scopes.
• Manage and verify mechanical isolation processes, spading arrangements, equipment shutdown needs, and permit-to-work documentation.
• Confirm availability of all necessary valves, piping parts, gaskets, bolts, fittings, consumables, specialized tools, and lifting gear ahead of offshore mobilization.
• Lead preparation for mechanical maintenance driven by shutdowns or campaign schedules.
• Coordinate the activities of offshore mechanical contractors and specialist suppliers during execution phases.
• Support mechanical integrity improvements by replacing deteriorated piping, valves, supports, and pressure vessels.
• Ensure compliance with company standards on flange management, bolting integrity, pressure/hydro/leak testing, and mechanical completion reviews.
• Monitor progress and troubleshoot technical challenges such as dismantling, installation, alignment, bolt tensioning, and commissioning tasks.
• Work on risk mitigation related to aging offshore assets and maintain mechanical equipment reliability.

Preferred Expertise and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of offshore oil & gas mechanical maintenance and execution experience.
• Strong background in valve replacement campaigns, static equipment maintenance, piping modifications, and brownfield mechanical projects.
• Experienced with shutdown and turnaround mechanical work preps.
• Solid hands-on experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, flange management, bolting integrity, pressure testing, and both static and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Proficient in SAP PM software for maintenance management.
• Knowledgeable in offshore production facility operations and challenges related to aging assets.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, ISO, and offshore regulations.
• Preferred experience includes managing valve replacement programs offshore, mechanical completion procedures, commissioning assistance, temporary/permanent repairs, shutdown campaigns, corrosion control and piping renewal, and CSCC remediation methods.

Education

Diploma, HNC/HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Additional Skills and Attributes

Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, proficient computer skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
