Role Overview

The Civil Supervisor will manage and coordinate maintenance efforts focusing on structures including concrete rehabilitation and marine infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates should be experienced in plant maintenance environments and driven to achieve safe, effective execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce strong safety culture adhering to company and legal HSE standards.
• Ensure safe execution of maintenance and construction tasks aligned with HSE protocols.
• Engage in safety inspections, incident analyses, risk assessment, and hazard identification.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the work area.
• Directly supervise contractors and subcontractors performing civil maintenance activities on site.
• Ensure all tasks comply with approved procedures, specifications, and project goals.
• Track workforce productivity, quality of work, and schedule compliance.
• Assist Structural Engineer in planning, coordination, and execution of civil maintenance work.
• Verify adherence to construction drawings, technical specs, and quality assurance standards.
• Review and approve Work Method Statements and maintenance procedures.
• Validate inspection outcomes and oversee corrective action implementation.
• Assess defects or damages, recommend remedial actions, and communicate critical structural findings promptly.
• Monitor and manage contractor performance against contract and safety obligations.
• Provide guidance and clarifications regarding contract specs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
• Oversee maintenance work on concrete repair, structural components, industrial buildings, marine structures, and civil infrastructure of process plants.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work logs and completion reports.
• Develop detailed work plans and structured maintenance packages targeting technical and operational challenges.

Professional Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant civil maintenance experience within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, or heavy industry sectors.
• At least three years in supervisory roles involving maintenance or construction oversight.
• Proven expertise in concrete repair, structural upkeep, and marine infrastructure maintenance.
• Proficient in civil maintenance methodologies, inspections, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Experience supervising contractors and ensuring quality compliance.
• Knowledgeable about asset integrity and structural reliability principles.
