CSA Estimator

About the Role

A notable position is open for an experienced CSA Estimator to join a growing engineering and construction firm located in Arklow, County Wicklow, Ireland. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and prepare tender bids for Structural and CSA projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documentation carefully.
• Perform quantity take-offs and compile detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Evaluate quotations received from subcontractors and suppliers critically.
• Assist with procurement processes and commercial evaluations.
• Maintain proactive communication with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Identify and assess commercial risks and opportunities during tendering phases.
• Track project expenditures and support initiatives for controlling costs effectively.
• Help with contract administration duties and contribute to project progress reporting.

Candidate Requirements

• Academic qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering or an allied field.
• Prior experience in estimating roles or commercial positions focusing on CSA projects.
• Sound knowledge of structural and construction techniques and processes.
• Exposure to projects in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent analytical thinking, numerical proficiency, and communication capabilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and estimating software tools.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
