About The Role

Green by Nature is looking for a skilled Cricket Curator to manage and maintain cricket wickets and associated turf at a premier sports facility in Sydney's Northern Region. This position offers the chance to focus on cricket surface management with both team support and autonomy to influence turf performance throughout the season.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cricket wickets to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality playing surfaces.
• Perform mowing, rolling, irrigation, fertilization, and overall turf health management.
• Conduct seasonal renovations and implement programs to improve surface conditions.
• Prepare grounds specifically for training sessions and match days.
• Monitor playing surface performance and apply proactive maintenance techniques.
• Operate and service turf machinery and specialist equipment efficiently.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety guidelines and industry best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Proven prior experience in preparing and maintaining cricket wickets.
• Strong understanding of sports turf management principles.
• Competency in operating turf maintenance machinery.
• Detail-oriented with pride in delivering superior playing surfaces.
• Capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Possession of a valid driver's licence.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, Parks & Gardens, or an equivalent qualification.
• Chemical handling accreditation.
• Experience working in schools, municipal councils, sports venues, or elite turf environments.
