Role Overview
The Creative Director at EVA Interiors plays a pivotal role in safeguarding and shaping the company’s creative vision, ensuring the highest quality and aesthetic excellence in all interior design, architectural, and furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) outputs. This leadership position is responsible for formalizing creative standards and frameworks that guarantee consistent, innovative, and commercially viable designs with a luxury market focus.
Core Responsibilities
- Establish, document, and continuously enhance EVA Interiors’ creative philosophy, including spatial design principles, material prioritization, detailing, color strategy, and FF&E integration within a formal governance framework.
- Maintain strict adherence to these creative standards across all projects, addressing deviations through structured corrective processes.
- Oversee all design standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align creative integrity with disciplined workflows and project execution.
- Ensure consistent application and continual refinement of creative standards based on thorough reviews and institutional feedback.
- Guarantee measurable, predictable creative output with at least 80% first-submission approval rate in design reviews, managing deviations by detailed root cause analyses and corrective planning.
- Lead mandatory scheduled creative review sessions, maintaining full attendance or formally delegating authority with written explanations and prompt rescheduling for any absence.
- Ensure timely communication of approvals, rejections, and design modifications within prescribed review timelines to avoid delays impacting revenue, forecasting, or client trust.
- Conduct weekly structured creative reviews and monthly quality retrospectives with documented outcomes, accountability, and tracked action items.
- Translate recurring quality or creative issues into updated guidelines and enforcement protocols to strengthen governance maturity.
- Collaborate with Planning and Operations to align creative schedules with project milestones and revenue forecasting, preventing delays that could jeopardize project profitability and client confidence.
- Manage and escalate any risks or governance issues that might affect timelines, revenue, or brand reputation to Executive Management within 24 hours, accompanied by impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Enforce compliance with design standards and governance across the design team, initiating structured corrective measures for repeated non-compliance in partnership with Executive Management and HR.
- Drive innovation initiatives to enhance EVA’s design differentiation, quality standards, and execution efficiencies, ensuring all innovations are practical, commercially responsible, and aligned with brand positioning.
- Oversee the strategic management of EVA’s FF&E Library, maintaining a curated, quality-controlled, and commercially viable collection supporting brand consistency and project efficiency.
- Maintain visible leadership presence during critical project phases and reviews, ensuring accessibility and engagement consistent with role seniority, with remote work arrangements requiring formal approval to preserve leadership standards.
