Cover Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a professional Cover Supervisor to oversee classrooms in secondary schools without the responsibilities of lesson planning or marking. This full-time, term-time role offers flexible hours and emphasizes a balance between work and life, with shifts ending promptly at the school day's close.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 subjects, ensuring student engagement and adherence to tasks.
• Manage classroom environments to sustain a calm, productive, and secure atmosphere.
• Communicate observations on student behaviour and progress to teaching departments.
• Maintain a professional demeanor as a role model, consistently supporting the school's values and safeguarding protocols.

Candidate Profile

• Strong leadership and communication skills to command respect from groups of up to 30 students.
• Adaptability to switch between various subjects and contexts with a positive attitude.
• Resilience to manage challenges calmly and professionally.
• Commitment to safeguarding, including holding or willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
