Job description
Job Overview
As a Courier/DOT-2 with Federal Express Corporation in Cocoa, FL, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles to efficiently deliver and collect packages. Your role includes verifying shipments comply with FedEx standards and providing excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Qualifications
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid license for the type of vehicle assigned. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and capable of lifting 50 pounds, with the ability to handle heavier packages using proper equipment or assistance. Excellent interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication are essential.
Compliance with Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is required, including passing a medical examination as per FMCSA or FAA standards. Candidates must maintain constant alertness and adhere to safety protocols. Proficiency in reading and speaking English is necessary for understanding traffic signs, communicating with officials, and responding to inquiries in line with FMCSA guidelines.
