Courier / Swing Driver DOT

Job Overview

This role involves operating company vehicles to efficiently deliver and pick up packages while ensuring shipments meet FedEx's service standards. You will provide coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area along with related customer service duties.

Work Schedule

Working days are Tuesday through Saturday.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with preferred courier experience of at least six months demonstrating good knowledge of the local area.

Key Skills and Abilities

• Capability to lift packages up to 50 lbs, and manage heavier packages using equipment or assistance.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's geographical service area is preferred.
• Adaptability, dependability, and proficient courier techniques are essential.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to read and communicate in English to understand traffic signs and comply with FMCSA regulations.

Job Conditions and Requirements

• Maintaining a neat appearance due to customer interaction.
• Compliance with federal motor carrier safety regulations, including passing medical exams per FMCSA or FAA standards.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as per company policies.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness and safe working practices.
