Job description
Role Overview
The position involves delivering and collecting packages efficiently and courteously along designated routes while ensuring all shipments comply with company service standards and providing related customer service support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely and courteous pick-up and delivery of parcels on assigned routes.
- Verify shipments for adherence to company service features.
- Deliver excellent customer support during service interactions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and safely handle packages up to 150 pounds using proper equipment.
- At least one year of experience in customer-focused business roles preferred.
- Pass all mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
- Some familiarity with company operations and Canadian customs regulations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service aptitude.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage stress, and work in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules and holidays as business demands require.
Other Information and Requirements
- Preferred residence in Nipigon, Ontario.
- The role requires operating within a Windows PC environment and maintaining annual accreditations where applicable.
- For residents of Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
- Drivers must have a valid license (Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]) and a driving record with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months.
- Candidates will be evaluated based on driving records, interviews, and practical driving assessments.
Terms and Conditions
- Full-time position based at Thunder Bay with shift starting at 9:00 AM.
- Work schedule consists of four 10-hour days from Monday to Friday, totaling a minimum of 35 hours weekly.
- Hourly wage offered is $22.60.
- The job description is broad and candidates must be ready to perform various duties as assigned.
