Position Overview
We invite motivated individuals to join our fast-paced, collaborative, and inclusive team as Couriers. This role involves managing assigned delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medication totes, and maintaining compliance with privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and determine the most efficient routes for daily deliveries.
- Inspect totes to verify order completeness before departure.
- Deliver correct medication totes promptly to designated healthcare facilities.
- Exchange emergency kits and intravenous medication boxes as needed.
- Collect returned items and refused medications following safety protocols.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
- Collaborate flexibly with team members to handle special circumstances.
- Monitor vehicle condition and notify supervisors about maintenance needs; take vehicles for servicing as assigned.
- Adhere to traffic laws and complete deliveries within designated shift times.
- Strictly follow patient privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- Two or more years of relevant work experience (advanced degrees may substitute).
- Proficiency with computers; experience with pharmacy operations systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Motivation to ensure quality by identifying and questioning possible errors.
- Competency in using GPS devices and hands-free phones.
- Ability to read and comprehend directions and maps in English.
Work Environment and Schedule
- Position requires ground travel primarily by company vehicle.
- Flexible working hours, mainly from Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
