Position Overview
Reporting to the Finance Director or designated authority, this role oversees and manages all Food and Beverage (F&B) control and accounting operations. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant laws, supporting hotel outlets on cost control, and guiding the F&B control department towards efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish accounting and reporting policies related to F&B operations; coordinate procedures and prepare operational reports measuring performance against plans.
- Communicate operational results to management and ownership to facilitate profit maximization.
- Address issues and maintain F&B accounting systems and equipment for smooth functioning.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, tax filings, and other financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Notify Financial Controller and F&B Director about any discrepancies or variances uncovered and initiate corrective actions.
- Lead Human Resources functions within the F&B Control department including recruitment, training, coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary measures, and terminations.
- Maintain the database and point of sale systems comprehensively.
- Control wastage, pilferage, and operational efficiency across Food and Beverage outlets.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving practices are followed efficiently and accurately.
- Safeguard the confidentiality and security of departmental information.
- Provide prompt responses to internal and external customer, supplier, and guest inquiries to uphold high service standards.
- Handle preparation and completion of timesheets, rotas, holiday schedules, and purchase orders as per business requirements.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by department heads or hotel management.
- Cultivate positive, cooperative relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Work independently and collaboratively to foster team environment.
