About the Role
Aureos Highways is seeking a dedicated Cost Clerk to join their expanding team on a major highways project based in Dungeness. This role focuses on cost monitoring and support, playing a key part in enhancing contract profitability and cash flow for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and approve material and external plant invoices before processing.
- Accurately allocate and code delivery tickets in accordance with budgeted costs and project deliverables.
- Analyze weekly schedules related to materials and plant usage.
- Examine and review all staff and labor cost data.
- Assist the commercial lead with compiling monthly reports and deliverables.
- Prepare necessary cost transfers ensuring proper cost allocation.
- Provide necessary documentation to support periodic payment applications as required.
- Reconcile cost data with financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct visits to other office locations and project sites when necessary.
- Communicate and collaborate with other internal departments and external companies as required.
- Support the commercial lead with any additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional planning, organization, and time management abilities.
- Proven capability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team, with a keen eye for detail.
