About the Role

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited is seeking a qualified Wireman to join their team in Normanton, Queensland. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while strictly adhering to safety and electrical code standards. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting setups.
• Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure accurate wiring layouts and installations.
• Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers for functionality and safety.
• Diagnose and promptly resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Conduct all work following and exceeding applicable electrical codes and rigorous safety regulations.
• Ensure all electrical systems and equipment operate effectively and safely.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and budget requirements.
• Keep precise records of maintenance and repairs carried out.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures consistently.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Demonstrated experience as a Wireman or in a closely related electrical role.
• Possession of a valid Wireman license or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to minor details.
• Good physical fitness suitable for working at heights, in confined spaces, and other varied environments.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship in electrician training is advantageous.
