Role Overview
The Corporate Receptionist position, based full-time on-site in Hobart, Tasmania, is pivotal in creating an inviting and professional front desk environment. Responsibilities include greeting clients and visitors warmly, overseeing incoming telephone communications, and ensuring the reception area embodies professionalism. Daily duties encompass managing meeting room reservations, coordinating mail and courier deliveries, and assisting with office event logistics when necessary.
Additional tasks involve clerical and administrative support such as performing accurate data entry, preparing documents, and maintaining organized records to facilitate seamless office operations. Collaboration with clients and internal colleagues ensures an elevated customer service experience and consistency throughout the office setting.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in reception roles and front-of-house responsibilities, including visitor management and responding to office inquiries.
- Outstanding telephone etiquette and communication capabilities for handling calls and engaging with clients and staff.
- Competency in clerical duties with basic computer skills, data entry proficiency, and document management.
- A customer-focused approach with aptitude for resolving queries, managing minor issues, and maintaining professionalism.
- Preferred experience within corporate or hospitality sectors, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
- Educational or vocational credentials in business administration, office assistance, or customer service are seen as advantages.
