Job Overview
This full-time position involves fundamental duties related to food preparation, sanitation, and customer service within patient-facing or ancillary areas. The role demands compliance with food safety standards and policies while delivering compassionate and ethical service to patients, families, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to standardized recipes and HACCP protocols to ensure safe and appropriate food preparation and storage.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of food prep areas using correct chemical and cleaning methods.
- Read production tallies and menus to manage workflow and coordinate with supervisors and team members to schedule production and estimate food quantities.
- Efficiently cook meals on the line employing batch cooking, bulk preparation, and short-order cooking techniques.
- Record leftover foods properly, label and date products, log food temperatures accurately, and complete production documentation including quantities prepared and leftover.
- Ensure all department supplies are adequately stocked.
- Operate the cash register to process sales, including issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Serve Safe certification or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
- Food handlers certification obtained within six months of hire.
- Minimum one year of experience in restaurant or institutional cooking, or one year of retail store cashiering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large volume and line cooking preferred.
