Job Overview
This role encompasses preparing nutritious and tasty meals for both students and staff, ensuring that all food meets dietary guidelines and quality expectations.
Key Duties
- Cook meals aligned with set menus and accommodate dietary needs.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene throughout kitchen operations.
- Manage kitchen stock and place orders for necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Keep accurate records of food inventories and kitchen equipment.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards within the kitchen environment.
Desired Skills
- Proficient cooking and food preparation capabilities.
- Understanding of nutrition principles and dietary restrictions.
- Strong organizational and efficient time management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of high school education or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience working as a cook in a school or similar institutional kitchen.
- Food safety certification is considered an advantage.
