Role Overview
The Controller of Examinations (CoE) is a senior academic administrative leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all examination processes within the university. The role demands upholding confidentiality, integrity, and regulatory adherence while ensuring timely and accurate examination management across all academic offerings.
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct various examinations including end-semester, internal, supplementary, and competitive exams.
- Ensure full compliance with UGC standards, statutory requirements, and university examination policies.
- Supervise the preparation, moderation, evaluation of question papers, and manage the processing and timely publication of results.
- Protect confidentiality and security of examination materials and records.
- Oversee exam scheduling, timetable creation, grading schemas, and handle re-evaluation processes.
- Manage and lead examination staff as well as collaborate effectively with academic departments, IT, and administrative units.
- Address examination grievances, audits, and coordinate regulatory inspections.
- Drive initiatives for digital transformation and automation in examination and evaluation systems.

- Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills suited for a high-level academic role.
- Comprehensive understanding of university examination frameworks and academic guidelines.
- High ethical standards, precise attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information securely.
- Strong organizational capabilities with excellent documentation and coordination expertise.
- Experience managing large operational projects under strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in examination management and digital examination software.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- PhD degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks at the postgraduate level.
- At least eight years of experience serving as an Associate Professor in a university setting, preferably in private universities.
- Five to ten years experience in a senior examinations administrative role, ideally as Controller of Examinations.
