About the Internship
Join Vector Limited as a Control Systems/SCADA Intern and embark on a rewarding pathway into the energy sector. This program is designed to nurture emerging talent by providing valuable hands-on experience with essential systems that monitor and manage Auckland’s electricity network. Through a ten-week full-time internship, you'll progress from observational learning to engaging in applied project assignments, gaining insight into SCADA, ADMS, and network operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation and monitoring of Vector’s electricity network through various control systems and technologies.
- Engage in real-time network operations, analyzing data and supporting control system engineering tasks.
- Assist with documentation, testing, and work within active live system environments.
Candidate Profile
- Currently undertaking the third or final year of a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with a keen interest in power systems, control systems, or network operations.
- Demonstrate curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a proactive mindset for skill development.
- Possess growing analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an enjoyment for understanding intricate system behaviors.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced work settings.
- Communicate effectively, show receptiveness to feedback, and collaborate both independently and in team environments.
