Contracts Specialist

Position Overview

We seek a proficient Contracts Specialist to join our team at Alawaly Real Estate in Jeddah. This role involves preparing and formulating diverse contract types and agreements in clear, legally robust language aligned with Saudi laws and best practices. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and coordinate with multiple departments to support risk mitigation and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare all corporate contracts and agreements precisely, ensuring clarity and compliance with Saudi legal statutes such as the Civil Transactions Law, Companies Law, real estate regulations, and others.
• Analyze external contracts to flag and correct unbalanced or risky clauses, propose amendments, and handle related documents such as addenda and terminations. Prepare bilingual contract versions ensuring Arabic text precedence.
• Manage contract requests via the company’s portal by confirming completeness and working with internal teams and legal reviewers to convert operational needs into contractual terms.
• Supervise contract approval workflows per delegated authority, confirm execution accuracy, verify authorized signatures, and manage associated financial guarantees.
• Administer both electronic and physical archiving with organized indexing, maintain the contract database, monitor upcoming expirations, and alert stakeholders promptly.
• Identify contracts involving related parties and coordinate mandatory governance processes, prepare necessary data for disclosures and due diligence, and monitor sensitive contracts such as exclusivity or non-competition agreements.

Technical Competencies

• Skilled at version control, change documentation, contract register upkeep, and document archiving.
• Fluency in legal terminology in Arabic and English with professional-grade translation capabilities.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite, responsible application of AI tools, and experience with contract management systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Regulations from a recognized institution.
• At least two years of relevant experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, or general legal practice, preferably related to real estate development or specialized law firms.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian legal frameworks applicable to real estate development activities.
• Fluent reading and writing skills in English with thorough knowledge of legal terminology in both English and Arabic.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office, AI tools, contract management software, and electronic archiving platforms.
