Role Overview
This position involves representing FirstStep on-camera across multiple social channels. The focus is to create engaging, clear, and insightful content about our evolving products and the wider technology and software development landscape. This is not a post-production role; content editing and production support are managed separately. The successful candidate will be comfortable speaking naturally on camera and presenting complex software concepts in an interesting and accessible manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the on-camera ambassador across platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Instagram.
- Produce regular content covering product launches, functionalities, challenges, and solutions.
- Discuss broader topics related to technology, software development tools, trends, engineering culture, and industry updates.
- Collaborate directly with engineering and product teams to transform technical developments into viewer-friendly content.
- Proactively generate original ideas for content formats, series, and new perspectives without needing direct instructions.
- Engage authentically with community and audience comments, presenting as an individual rather than a corporate persona.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in content creation demonstrated via personal projects, portfolios, or prior brand collaborations.
- Comfortability and ease with on-camera presence.
- Genuine enthusiasm for technology and software; capable of technical discussions and explaining concepts clearly without oversimplification.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage schedules and output independently in a remote setting.
- Availability to work during US time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in software engineering or a technical discipline.
- Existing tech-focused audience or followers.
- Experience producing both short and long-form content within tight timeframes.
- Familiarity with developer tools, B2B SaaS, or AI infrastructure products.
Compensation and Benefits
- Fully remote working arrangement.
- Salary range between ₹400000 and ₹600000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive support for editing and production so focus remains on content creation.
- Creative control over content voice and direction.
