Consumables Associate

Position Summary

Joining Walmart Canada as a Consumables Associate offers a valuable opportunity to build your retail expertise. In this role, you are key to maintaining efficient product flow from storage to salesfloor while delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Working closely with team members, you will support stocking, merchandising, and customer assistance in a clean, safe setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers courteously and offer friendly assistance.
• Support shoppers by promoting products, locating items, and helping with purchasing decisions.
• Address and resolve customer concerns or escalate to management appropriately.
• Keep the salesfloor attractive by stocking, rotating, pricing items, removing damaged or expired goods, and managing displays.
• Handle claims and returns correctly, safeguard merchandise, identify high shrinkage items, and maintain workplace safety following company policies.
• Receive and stock shipments, properly use equipment, and complete necessary paperwork and logs.
• Refer transaction-related issues to the Customer Service Manager when needed.
• Perform picking and downstocking tasks; apply product protection; set up and complete modular displays and flex modulars with updated shelf tags.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
