Role Overview

M42 is inviting applications for a prestigious Tier 1 Consultant Urologist role, tailored for internationally renowned, Western-trained physicians who demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, leadership qualities, and mastery in advanced surgical techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive urological care, managing intricate clinical cases, executing sophisticated surgical interventions, and advancing the growth of the Urology department within M42. The role demands adherence to the highest clinical standards with a focus on innovation, quality enhancement, and superior patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertly diagnose, treat, and manage complex urological conditions.
• Provide thorough outpatient, inpatient, surgical, and consultative urology services.
• Conduct advanced urological operations, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures.
• Handle complex cases involving stone disease, benign prostatic disorders, urinary tract issues, male reproductive health, and urological cancers.
• Lead multidisciplinary team discussions and develop treatment plans for challenging urological cases.
• Collaborate closely with other specialties such as Oncology, Nephrology, and Radiology to optimize patient care.
• Contribute to the enhancement and expansion of advanced urological services at M42.
• Initiate and support quality improvement projects and clinical governance activities.
• Mentor junior doctors and support educational, research, and professional growth initiatives.
• Ensure timely and precise clinical documentation compliant with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations providing expert assistance in urological emergencies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited university.
• Completion of an accredited residency training in Urology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Urology obtained from a Tier 1 country.
• Consultant status recognized by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health (DOH).
• Eligibility or possession of a valid DOH Consultant Urology license.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience at the consultant level within a premier tertiary or academic medical institution.
• Proven excellence in performing advanced urological surgeries and managing complex cases.
• Strong leadership capabilities, outstanding communication skills, and proficiency in multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Dedicated to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and delivering clinical excellence.
