About the Role
The Consultant - DevSecOps will be responsible for understanding and analyzing business requirements and conducting thorough technical assessments to propose effective solutions. This role involves designing and executing a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy that incorporates Agile work management, quality assurance methods, and secure development lifecycle implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Agile methodologies tailored to DevSecOps workflows
- Establish a quality assurance framework suitable for secure development processes
- Create and oversee version control strategies as well as integration of source control systems
- Manage build infrastructure and code flow automation in various environments including on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, OCI)
- Handle application configurations and secrets management using Vault technologies
- Design and implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines, enforcing code quality and security policies and defining deployment patterns
- Architect infrastructure and configuration management approaches, including infrastructure as code (IaC), Kubernetes management, Helm charts, and NPM package usage
- Implement infrastructure compliance and security controls
- Design and optimize continuous feedback mechanisms for system monitoring and development collaboration
- Automate build processes, create golden images, and integrate applications seamlessly
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions to enhance system capabilities
- Collaborate closely with testing and delivery teams to ensure quality before production releases
- Document all work following prescribed standards and maintain configuration item records
- Oversee APIOps, pipeline management, and Azure infrastructure administration
Educational Background & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Certifications such as Microsoft Azure DevSecOps Engineer Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevSecOps Professional
- Additional beneficial accreditations include Ansible, AKS certifications, ITIL Foundation, CKA/CKAD, and associate or professional level certifications in Azure/GCP/OCI
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of 8 years in relevant technical roles
- Proficiency with major cloud providers: Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle OCI
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and the ability to design and execute test plans
- Expertise in build system design, automation, and provision of cloud infrastructures
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, cloud technologies, and current computing trends
- Hands-on experience with source code quality tools like SonarQube, OWASP toolset, pipeline management, and artifact repositories including NPM, Maven, NuGet
- Experience deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes using Helm charts, managing ingress, services, and config maps
- Comfortable with Windows, Linux, and open-source software technologies
- Working expertise in configuration management and automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell/Bash scripting, Chef, Ansible, Bicep, and ARM templates
- Experience provisioning infrastructure for relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
- Knowledge of Agile development practices, SCRUM, and ALM using languages like PowerShell, Bash, and .NET
- Exposure to messaging and orchestration systems such as Solace, Camunda, and MuleSoft
