Construction Project Manager / Estimator

About the Company

We are a prominent commercial general contractor operating throughout the greater Southern Georgia region. We are actively expanding our team and are in search of a skilled Construction Project Manager and Estimator to contribute to our ongoing growth and success.

Job Overview

The selected candidate will lead estimating and pre-construction efforts for various projects. This role demands outstanding organizational skills, proficiency in reviewing and producing detailed estimates, and the ability to coordinate project bids and site assessments effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects with strong organizational capabilities.
• Develop, review, and submit high-quality estimates accompanied by detailed proposals.
• Execute comprehensive quantity and manpower take-offs at an advanced level.
• Identify and pursue new bidding opportunities to expand project prospects.
• Thoroughly analyze plans, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to prepare accurate bid estimates.
• Participate actively in site visits, pre-bid meetings, project walkthroughs, bidding sessions, and coordination discussions.
• Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support company operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong drive and dedication to succeed in the construction project management and estimating field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Competency in delivering estimating services and preparing construction budgets, including conceptual and schematic design phases.
• Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with On-Screen Takeoff software is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, terminology, and blueprint reading skills.
• Excellent mathematical aptitude paired with effective organizational, prioritization, and time management capabilities.
• A minimum of three years’ experience working as a commercial construction estimator.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range from $90,000 to $140,000.
