We are currently seeking a Compounding Technician to join our Auckland (Mt. Wellington) facility under a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension or permanent employment. This role plays a vital part in aseptic production by manufacturing chemotherapy, antibiotics, and nutritional sterile products for hospitals and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Selecting and preparing raw materials needed for compounding processes.
- Aseptically mixing sterile medications and syringes according to prescribed protocols.
- Packing the finalized products for each order, including performing a thorough final inspection.
- Labeling and dispatching the prepared sterile products appropriately.
- Completing documentation rigorously in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures meticulously.
- Engaging in comprehensive training with site trainers and coaches to attain full competency and versatility in the technician role.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and enjoyment of precision work.
- Comfortable spending part of the workday within a cleanroom environment adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 kilograms during the shift.
- Capacity to maintain high productivity levels throughout the working hours.
- Basic mathematical skills to perform required calculations accurately.
- Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts scheduled between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday through Sunday, with potential roster changes to meet customer demands.

- The role necessitates passing a pre-employment medical examination including strict vision screening due to GMP requirements.
- Successful candidates must also pass background and reference checks as well as comply with mask fit testing protocols.
