We are searching for a Night Shift Pharmacy Checker dedicated to maintaining precise handling of patient orders to uphold exceptional standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You will be working initially at our National Distribution Site in Northampton, England, with plans to move to a cutting-edge healthcare facility in Rockingham Park, Corby scheduled to open in 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough accuracy checks of ancillary pharmaceutical products, verifying correct codes, descriptions, batch details, expiry dates, and quantities.
  • Ensure patient labels are accurately matched to products and corresponding dispatch documents.
  • Maintain meticulous pharmacy checking records and relevant documentation.
  • Detect, document, and resolve picking mistakes, ensuring all anomalies are properly logged and corrected.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists and warehouse teams to uphold compliance and operational standards.
  • Process order checks promptly to meet scheduled deliveries.
  • Manage prescription records and patient files in accordance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Cross-verify faxed prescriptions with original paperwork and ensure precise filing.
  • Assist with yearly prescription archiving under the supervision of pharmacists.
  • Support warehouse operations including product picking, packaging, pallet wrapping, and generating reports.
  • Adhere to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Warehouse Practice (GWP) protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments as directed by pharmacists.
  • Participate in training and comply with all quality, safety, and procedural policies.

Compensation and Working Hours

The position offers an annual salary of £26,000 plus a night shift allowance of £4,792.84. The working schedule is from Sunday through Thursday, daily hours being 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
