Role Overview

The Contamination Control Supervisor leads a team responsible for maintaining cleanliness and contamination control in biological cleanrooms at the Westport site. This role demands shift working capability as shifts rotate monthly between days and nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the contamination control team through clear communication, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Coordinate contamination control activities per shift, ensuring prioritization aligns with production needs, schedules, and KPIs.
  • Promptly escalate risks or performance concerns to management.
  • Ensure cleanroom areas and related documentation are audit-ready at all times.
  • Carry out sanitization tasks in biologic manufacturing cores, including post-batch, routine, and triple cleans, following GMP and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning supplies and handle waste removal efficiently.
  • Conduct autoclave cycles and filter testing according to protocols.
  • Adhere strictly to gowning procedures to minimize contamination risks.
  • Document all activities precisely and legibly per Good Documentation Practices.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to relevant departments timely.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and ensure timely completion, including eLMS courses.
  • Maintain compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and housekeeping standards, reporting deviations.
  • Participate in GEMBA walks and process confirmations to identify operational improvements.
  • Follow site policies and procedures to achieve performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in science or engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong technical expertise with practical application of relevant concepts and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various teams.
