Job description
Role Overview
The Compliance Specialist Trainee will assist with the execution of compliance, governance, and enterprise risk management functions by helping to oversee adherence to relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and governance frameworks. This role offers practical exposure to compliance operations, risk evaluations, policy management, documentation, reporting, and continuous process improvements, enhancing effective governance practices organization-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing compliance, governance, and risk management tasks as per organizational guidelines.
- Help monitor conformity with applicable legal and regulatory requirements alongside company policies.
- Support the drafting, review, and update of company policies and governance documents.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of process manuals, procedural guides, and standardized templates.
- Participate in identifying and evaluating enterprise risks and tracking mitigation efforts.
- Help monitor internal controls and compliance activities to meet governance goals.
- Review compliance-related documents and maintain accurate records according to document control standards.
- Prepare governance, risk, and compliance reports and presentations.
- Assist in conducting investigations through information gathering and documentation maintenance.
- Maintain compliance databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote compliance awareness and support governance implementations.
- Contribute ideas and efforts toward ongoing improvements in compliance processes and governance.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in disciplines such as Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- Must be a recent graduate eligible for the Tamheer Program.
- Basic knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational capabilities, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Fluent in Arabic and possessing working proficiency in English.
