About the Role
métier - Strategic HR Solutions is recruiting a Compliance Officer for their client based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position centers on adherence to regulatory requirements within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), licensing, risk management for compliance, policy oversight, regulatory reporting, and ongoing compliance monitoring. The role involves close collaboration with the Head of Compliance or General Manager, as well as with regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant KSA regulatory mandates and maintain an up-to-date compliance calendar.
- Oversee the management and renewal process for company registrations, licenses, and all regulatory documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding reporting requirements, inspections, and official communications.
- Establish, implement, and keep updated AML/CFT policies, procedural documents, registers, and controls.
- Carry out compliance assessments, risk evaluations, internal audits, and assist with corrective actions where needed.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of internal policies aligning with KSA laws and industry best practices.
- Provide training on compliance, AML/CFT, and ethics; advocate for adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct.
- Manage compliance-related registers, trackers, policies, and formal documentation to ensure the company is prepared for audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Compliance, or a related discipline is required.
- Between three to five years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or similar roles.
- Preferred background includes working in financial services, consulting, or highly regulated industries.
- Thorough knowledge of the regulatory landscape, laws, and compliance processes applicable within KSA.
- Exposure to AML/CFT mechanisms, compliance monitoring, risk assessments, audits, and policy management is advantageous.
Requirements
- In-depth comprehension of regulatory compliance standards and AML/CFT frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills along with good organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Capable of working autonomously and balancing several compliance tasks and deadlines concurrently.
- Meticulous attention to detail and trustworthy handling of sensitive confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with compliance-specific software tools.
