Role Overview
This pivotal position involves overseeing the design and implementation of the company's remuneration and rewards framework to ensure these align with business goals, growth strategies, and workforce needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement remuneration strategies aligned with the organisation's performance and growth objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver strategic advice on remuneration based on market and workforce trends.
- Manage salary frameworks and remuneration policies to ensure market competitiveness, internal fairness, and sustainable commercial practices.
- Provide expert advice concerning recruitment, promotions, retention, and organisational change supported by rigorous remuneration modelling.
- Administer and refine short-term and sales incentive programs, ensuring their performance alignment and governance.
- Work alongside business leaders to develop incentive frameworks that promote revenue growth and achieve business targets.
- Lead the creation and upkeep of job architecture and career frameworks for consistency across roles, grading, and progression paths.
- Ensure that remuneration schemes are connected to career development, capability frameworks, and workforce planning.
- Advance employee benefits, recognition programs, and value propositions to improve attraction, engagement, and retention.
- Promote comprehensive reward strategies that acknowledge capability enhancement, performance, and professional growth.
- Maintain pay governance and compliance, including executive and board reporting and audit processes.
- Conduct pay equity and gender pay reviews, identifying discrepancies and implementing equitable solutions.
- Perform market benchmarking, salary analyses, and workforce insight gathering using leading data sources to support strategic planning.
- Create remuneration dashboards, reports, and analytics to provide actionable intelligence for leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in professional services, consulting, technology, and/or finance sectors.
- Proven skills in remuneration strategy, pay structure management, and incentive plan design that align rewards with business performance and expansion.
- Background in developing and implementing job architectures, grading scales, and career frameworks within sizeable or complex organisations.
- In-depth understanding of pay governance, legal compliance, and regulatory frameworks, including expertise in pay equity and gender pay matters.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Familiarity with Australian employment law and relevant compliance mandates.
- Proficiency with HR technologies and systems focused on compensation and benefit administration.
