The primary focus is to engage and encourage priority populations, especially Māori and Pacific communities, to complete their screening test kits and participate actively in the programme.
Key Responsibilities
The role entails direct outreach to the priority groups to boost test completion rates and support individuals through the screening journey. This includes assistance for attending colonoscopy, alternative assessments, or initial treatment appointments. Special attention is given to individuals who have not completed their screening using the faecal immunochemical test (FIT).
Programme Context
This service operates as a component of the National Bowel Screening Programme (NBSP) and adheres strictly to the NBSP Interim Quality Standards to ensure quality and consistency in delivery.
