Position Overview

Join The Luxury Collection in Doha, Qatar, as a Commis III, where you will prepare ingredients essential for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing foods properly. Duties include washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring, and mixing components according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards. You will be responsible for preparing cold dishes and operating kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

Job Duties

• Test food to confirm adequate cooking.
• Ensure food quality during preparation.
• Set up and dismantle the workstation efficiently.
• Serve food portions in appropriate containers.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tools, knives, and machines.
• Maintain appropriate temperature settings for appliances and food products.

Safety and Conduct

Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies, promptly report any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management, and complete required safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional personal appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Collaboration and Physical Demands

Communicate clearly with colleagues using professional language while fostering positive relationships to achieve team objectives. The role requires standing, sitting, or walking extensively during shifts and performing physical movements such as bending, twisting, lifting (up to 25 pounds), pushing, and pulling.

Additional Responsibilities

Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of one year in a related work environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
