Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous, analytically-minded Commercial Strategy & Performance Analyst to become the key analytical resource for our local account team's performance operations. Collaborating closely with the Business Performance Manager, you will be responsible for the entire data ecosystem — from data infrastructure to reporting and detailed analyses — that underpin target setting, tracking of performance metrics, and bonus computations. You will increasingly integrate artificial intelligence to enhance speed, intelligence, and scalability of these functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain reporting systems: manage daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards and reports tracking GMV, portfolio growth, customer retention, and revenues for the local accounts.
  • Manage bonus cycle workflows: calculate commissions and bonuses, verify all input data, resolve any inconsistencies, and ensure timely payouts.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of KPIs: maintain accurate, timely, and uniformly defined scorecards and dashboards across multiple markets and teams.
  • Perform detailed business investigations: conduct account-level analyses, examine trends, and investigate root causes of performance deviations to inform managerial decisions.
  • Drive AI-powered analytics initiatives: employ large language model (LLM) tools and AI agents to speed up analytical processes by auto-generating performance summaries, insightful narratives, and draft business evaluations.
  • Create AI-enabled self-service tools: develop chat-based query interfaces, automated insight alerts, or copilots to empower account managers with immediate access to performance data without reliance on analysts.
  • Identify and automate manual reporting processes using scripts, AI workflows, or pipeline improvements to allow the team to shift focus from data gathering to analysis.
  • Support forecasting and target formulation: build data models and use machine learning–based forecasts and scenario planning to inform quarterly and annual goal setting.
  • Enable account managers by offering self-service tools, training sessions, and on-demand analytical support to independently resolve routine performance queries.
  • Collaborate with Data, Finance, and Sales Operations teams to improve data pipelines, create alignment on definitions, and troubleshoot cross-functional data challenges.

Candidate Profile

  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis, commercial analytics, sales operations, or related data-intensive roles within e-commerce, food delivery, or internet platforms.
  • Proficiency in advanced SQL querying involving complex joins and aggregations across diverse large datasets.
  • Expert skills in Excel or Google Sheets along with practical experience building dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or their equivalents.
  • Practical experience applying AI tools in business contexts, including prompt engineering, LLM-based reporting, or constructing AI-agent workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot in enterprise environments).
  • Knowledge of performance reporting specific to commercial teams, understanding sales/account KPIs, scorecards, and business review processes.
  • High attention to numerical detail, especially regarding targets like bonus or commission calculations.
  • Capability to independently manage analytical projects while aligning with senior leadership’s strategic priorities.
  • Skilled at structured problem-solving—breaking down ambiguous business questions into precise analytical approaches and conclusions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings to business stakeholders and translate complex data into accessible insights.
  • Additional experience with Python or R programming, forecasting methodologies, or machine learning is considered an advantage.

Why This Role is Compelling

  • Be the central analytical force for a crucial performance function, directly influencing decisions on targets, incentives, and commercial strategy.
  • Engage in cutting-edge experimentation by embedding AI-first methods within a commercial operations setting, defining new standards rather than following existing ones.
  • Gain broad business exposure across account management, finance, data, and executive leadership, offering excellent career growth pathways into senior performance or strategic roles.
  • Take ownership of complete processes from dashboard development to bonus calculations within a rapidly expanding organizational context.
