Established in 1926 in Europe, this well-known original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has nearly a century-long history of producing highly sophisticated engineering CNC, HMC, VMC, and 5-Axis machines. Their clientele primarily includes renowned automobile manufacturers as well as leading manufacturing and engineering firms worldwide.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Manager based in Pune with deep familiarity of the local market. The role is full-time and permanent within a reputed engineering multinational company that manufactures advanced machine accessories for CNC, VMC, HMC, and universal machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop pricing strategies for heavy machinery and spare parts to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with industrial clients ensuring compliance with both local and global trade regulations.
  • Analyze and mitigate risks by thoroughly reviewing legal terms and technical clauses within contracts to safeguard the company's financial and legal interests.
  • Manage procurement and supply chain activities, including negotiation of raw material costs (e.g., steel, electronics) to optimize production expenses and maintain consistent delivery for manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor project budgets, profit margins, and sales forecasts to ensure financial targets are met and promote effective cash flow and credit management in handling large industrial orders.
  • Lead and supervise teams in sales, logistics, and finance departments, establish performance objectives, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to synchronize delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or Industrial Engineering; additional vocational certifications such as ITI Electrician or Technician are relevant.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience within the manufacturing industry, specifically focused on machine tools, cutting tools, or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machine tool technology, CNC systems, and industrial automation.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, contract law, financial management, and risk evaluation.
  • Educational background in Business Administration, Finance, or Supply Chain Management is advantageous; an MBA is highly regarded.

Additional Information

The candidate must be resident of Pune and well-acquainted with the Pune market dynamics. This role involves close coordination at the intersection of technical, commercial, and operational functions within a reputed multinational engineering enterprise.
