Role Summary
As a Commercial Controller, you will serve as a trusted advisor for sales and marketing teams, actively managing pricing strategies and commercial performance. Your insights through analysis, financial models, and close business partnership will support sound commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Finance Business Partner, advising sales and marketing departments.
- Develop and oversee pricing strategies and customer investments.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in commercial areas.
- Conduct profitability analysis, financial modeling, and performance reviews.
- Control and optimize trade spend and marketing budgets focusing on ROI.
- Calculate pricing structures for key accounts, wholesale, and hospitality sectors.
- Evaluate investment cases and sales activities.
- Support product launches, including pricing and profitability assessments.
- Prepare reports, business reviews, and ad-hoc analyses for management.
- Oversee accruals within sales and marketing.
- Manage intercompany transfer pricing, portfolio allocation, and distribution keys.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, IT, supply chain, and accounting teams.
- Improve controlling processes, reporting frameworks, and tools.
- Monitor and enhance budget transparency and profitability.
Candidate Profile
- Completed degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Several years of experience in controlling or commercial finance, preferably in FMCG.
- Solid expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and reporting systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong analytical thinking and proficient problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to challenge and persuade stakeholders.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong business acumen.
- Organizational talent to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, for daily communication.
