Role Overview
The Commercial Account Executive role is a quota-driven sales position responsible for generating new revenue across various industries. You will handle the entire sales process, from identifying leads and qualifying opportunities to managing and closing deals. Collaboration with our partner ecosystem is vital, working closely with Channel Managers to advance partner-influenced and partner-originated opportunities. Success is measured by new revenue bookings and the quality and consistency of pipeline development within both direct and partner channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source, qualify, and develop new business across multiple industry sectors.
- Manage a personal sales pipeline through every stage, from initial contact to deal closure.
- Create and implement strategic territory and account plans blending direct outreach with partner-generated demand.
- Maintain detailed and precise forecasting and pipeline records in CRM systems to ensure dependable revenue flow.
- Promptly assess leads from inbound and marketing campaigns, converting them into viable opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Channel Managers and partner organizations to identify and progress business prospects jointly.
- Support partners in building their own pipelines by sharing best practices, unique value propositions, and competitive edges.
- Serve as the commercial lead on partner-related deals, ensuring clear ownership, smooth transitions, and coordinated execution.
- Engage in joint account planning, quarterly business reviews, and enablement sessions to strengthen co-selling efforts.
- Establish strong relationships with partner sales teams to accelerate deal closure and improve win rates.
- Conduct value-driven sales discussions, clearly communicating IFS's offerings across industries to potential customers.
- Handle complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and coordinate necessary internal resources such as pre-sales, solution consulting, legal, and commercial teams.
- Negotiate deal terms and lead agreements to signature, regularly meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Apply structured sales methodologies for qualifying leads, forecasting, and progressing deals.
- Represent IFS professionally in all customer and partner meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual new revenue targets.
- Ensure a strong and reliable pipeline to support sustained quota achievement.
- Maintain disciplined CRM data quality standards across all opportunities.
- Assist in executing IFS marketing and partner event campaigns within assigned territories.
Qualifications
- Proven background in business development with a successful track record in self-sourcing and closing new deals.
- Experience selling SaaS products, with a clear understanding of the SaaS sales process and purchaser behaviors.
- Preferably trained in the MEDDPICC sales methodology.
- Familiarity with managing quota targets in both direct and channel-influenced sales environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with channel partners to cultivate and close business opportunities.
- Strong grasp of enterprise sales lifecycles and value-based selling techniques.
- Preferred experience within AI, ERP, EAM, or FSM sectors.
- Capability to manage several simultaneous opportunities across different industries and stakeholder groups.
- Excellent skills in communication, presentations, and engaging with executives.
- Fluent in English.
- A university degree or equivalent professional experience in a related discipline.
