Overview
The Co-Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring outstanding customer service and driving profitable sales growth. This role involves demonstrating and promoting La Senza's sales behaviours to cultivate a high-performance team culture and meet sales objectives while embodying company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating an engaging store atmosphere focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding company sales behaviours.
- Participate as part of the sales leadership team to coach and develop staff according to company selling standards.
- Address and resolve customer service issues promptly.
- Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding to maintain adequate staffing levels per company guidelines.
- Manage the talent lifecycle, including performance assessments, training, retention, career progression, succession planning, and recognition of sales associates.
- Lead and assign execution of corporate initiatives where appropriate.
- Create a positive workplace and effectively manage employee relations.
- Assist with physical inventory processes and implement store strategies to minimize shrinkage.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures including handling damages, transfers, and compliance matters.
- Maintain compelling visual merchandising and presentation standards, including planning effective sell-down strategies.
- Analyze store performance and develop SMART action plans to improve results and operational efficiency.
- Support scheduling, payroll budgeting, and managing controllable expenses alongside the Store Manager.
- Oversee replenishment processes to maintain a well-stocked sales floor consistent with brand guidelines.
- Promote and uphold safety measures in the workplace.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards of the store are met.
- Demonstrate leadership aligned with company values and professional behaviour.
Qualifications and Success Factors
- Between 1 to 3 years of retail supervisory or management experience, preferably in clothing retail.
- Strong capability to encourage outstanding customer service and implement the company sales model effectively.
- Effective delegation, follow-up, and communication skills across organizational levels.
- Ability to evaluate talent, provide coaching, and manage team performance.
- Business insight with solid strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
- Flexible schedule including availability for evenings, weekends, and outside regular business hours.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor that reinforce the brand and company standards.
Compensation
Hourly wage range: $21 to $22.
