Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Store Manager to meet sales and profit goals while fostering an environment focused on exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include guiding and developing the sales team through training and evaluations, handling recruitment and selection, and upholding company policies and procedures. The role demands a commitment to teamwork, integrity, and continuous professional growth, aligning with the company’s philosophy of promoting from within.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving individual and team sales targets and profit projections.
• Create an atmosphere that ensures complete customer satisfaction.
• Lead the development of team members’ skills and product knowledge through consistent training and performance evaluations.
• Assist in recruiting and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and operational standards.
• Perform additional operational and strategic tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum one year of retail experience, ideally within the jewellery or specialty retail sectors.
• Familiarity with POS systems, scanners, and basic computer software and hardware usage.
• Capability to comprehend and act on various forms of instruction—written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary ranging from $20.00 to $23.50 per hour plus performance-based commission, with final pay determined by experience and qualifications.
