Role Summary

The position of Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time remote leadership opportunity based in the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. The CTO will be pivotal in defining and implementing the company's technical direction, managing product architecture, and overseeing the complete development lifecycle of the social presence platform focused on real-time location and messaging features.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and establish best practices for coding and development processes.
• Ensure the design and maintenance of secure and scalable infrastructure for real-time features.
• Collaborate with co-founders to drive product strategy, market fit, and technical roadmaps.
• Coordinate efforts with design, marketing, and operations to provide a unified and user-centric platform experience.
• Assess new technologies and uphold rigorous data privacy and security standards.
• Act as the technical representative in discussions with investors and business partners.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical capabilities for informed product decision-making and solving complex technical and business challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in sales techniques to aid fundraising and support growth strategies.
• Experience in marketing and research to understand users and align product features with market needs.
• Demonstrated history of building and scaling consumer platforms, preferably in social, real-time, or location-based domains.
• Technical expertise in software engineering, including modern web/mobile development, cloud infrastructure, and data security.
• Proven leadership in recruiting, mentoring, and managing engineering teams within fast-paced startup contexts.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required; advanced qualifications or substantial leadership experience are beneficial.
