CNC/Saw Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC/Saw Operator to become part of our team at Fourdot Affinity Ltd. This role involves working with CNC routers and saw machinery across four different brand lines, handling materials such as plastics, wood, and composites to create precise, high-quality components that meet technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC routers and saws, including material loading and unloading.
• Prepare CNC jobs by setting up nesting, tooling, and calibrating machines.
• Accurately set up and use saws to cut materials to required specifications.
• Select and install suitable tooling and blades for each job.
• Interpret technical drawings and adhere to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after machining or cutting processes.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and accessories.
• Follow production schedules to ensure efficient, high-quality output.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of machinery and work spaces.
• Report any problems with machinery, materials, or quality issues to supervisors promptly.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working in CNC operation, saw machinery, manufacturing, or engineering contexts.
• Intermediate skills in operating CNC routers and/or saw machines.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a dedication to quality workmanship.
• Able to meet deadlines and adhere to production schedules.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• A readiness to learn new skills; training will be provided as necessary.
• Experience with manual lathes or vertical mills is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC programming is beneficial but not essential.
