About the Role
We represent a specialist engineering and manufacturing company that supplies precision components across multiple industries. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join their team, tasked with milling precision components with the utmost accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines with attention to detail and care.
- Operating manual milling machines as needed.
- Utilizing inspection and measurement instruments to verify the quality of components.
- Accurately interpreting technical drawings.
- Applying strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Proactively troubleshooting and resolving machining issues.
- Suggesting improvements to enhance process efficiency and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with CNC milling machines; experience with Hurco CNC machines is considered beneficial.
- Competence in manual milling operations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings thoroughly.
- Strong numeracy and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-driven, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Experience with CNC or manual lathes is a desirable advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging between £17 and £19.50 depending on experience.
- Overtime paid at five times the standard rate.
- 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional days awarded for longer tenure.
