Cloud Engineer - Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

About the Role

DXC Technology is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to manage and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure systems. This role focuses on deploying, operating, and sustaining cloud environments while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable service delivery.

Core Responsibilities

• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Managing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Monitoring system performance, availability, and ensuring operational health.
• Implementing security controls, managing identity, and access policies for cloud systems.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud platforms, networks, and applications.
• Supporting automation efforts through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborating closely with application, security, and operations teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Maintaining adherence to security standards and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in cloud engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong grasp of cloud networking, storage, virtualization technologies, and security principles.
• Experience administering both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems.
• Advantageous to have understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
